Once upon a time …

Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived in a valley at the foot of the Himalayas, with her parents and a pair of rabbits. Her little house was in a picturesque town flanked by rivers on two sides and mountains on the other two sides. An only child, she was curious about the world around her, wondering why the cows and buffaloes didn’t wear any shoes and believing that the moon moved along with her when she walked. Her parents lived simply, welcomed visitors warmly and delighted in answering their child’s questions and listening to her. The little girl was fascinated by pictures and words in the books around the house and as soon as she learnt to read, a whole new world opened up to her, setting her off on a magical journey in the kaleidoscopic world of stories. Books became her closest friends and when asked, all she wanted was a storybook.

She didn’t know it then, but S T O R I E S was to become her mantra for life.

All her work choices revolved around telling stories, be it writing, editing, translating, scripting, performing or directing short films.

Over the next fifty years, she dived deep and gulped thirstily of the enchantment of stories, discovering their dynamic power as a tool for developing the intellect. As she continues to learn, she now shares her learning in Playshops.
